DJI Mic 3 Specifications

Dimension and Weight

DJI Mic 3 features an ultra-compact and discreet design. The transmitter weighs only 16g (including the magnet), making it about 40% lighter than the Mic 2. Its dimensions are 28.8 x 28.3 x 16.4 mm, ensuring it remains virtually invisible when clipped to clothing or hidden in a scene.

Adaptive Gain Control & Voice Tone Presets

DJI Mic 3 comes with Adaptive Gain Control. This industry-first feature offers two modes: Automatic Mode, which suppresses sudden volume spikes to prevent clipping, and Dynamic Mode, which balances volume in response to the speaker’s distance and tone. It also offers three Voice Tone Presets (Regular, Rich, and Bright) to professionally tune audio to match the speaker’s vocal characteristics.

Dual-File 32-bit Float Internal Recording

DJI Mic 3 comes with Dual-File 32-bit Float Internal Recording. With 32GB of internal storage per transmitter, it records high-fidelity audio that can be recovered even if the signal clips or drops. The dual-file system automatically saves an original track and an algorithm-enhanced backup, providing ultimate peace of mind during critical shoots.

4TX + 8RX Capability & Quadraphonic Output

DJI Mic 3 comes with 4TX + 8RX Capability. The receiver can support up to four transmitters simultaneously and sync audio to seven additional receivers. When used in Quadraphonic Mode with compatible Sony cameras or software, it can output four individual audio tracks for effortless separation and professional mixing in post-production.

400m Dual-Band Stable Transmission

DJI Mic 3 comes with a 400m Stable Transmission Range. Utilizing dual-band frequency hopping (2.4GHz and 5.8GHz), it maintains a rock-solid connection even in high-interference environments like trade shows or crowded streets. It also supports OsmoAudio™, allowing the transmitters to connect directly to the Osmo Pocket 3 or Action 5 Pro without a receiver.

28-Hour Battery Life & 1.1-inch AMOLED Screen

DJI Mic 3 comes with a 28-Hour Total Battery Life. Each transmitter provides 10 hours of use, while the receiver offers 8 hours. The premium charging case provides 2.4 full charges for the entire system. The receiver features a vibrant 1.1-inch AMOLED touchscreen and a precision dial for intuitive control of gain, levels, and system settings.
